Thank you guys for sticking with me even after the shitty awkward sex. Enjoy and comment, comment, comment!

He returned with Chinese food, and lots of it, which seemed kind of counterproductive to his trip to the gym, but I didn’t comment on it. I started to set the table but he waved his hand at me and walked towards the living room.

“Come sit in here,” he said tossing some of the food down onto the coffee table. He flopped down onto the floor and sat on his knees, opening containers and leaning in to smell the food. “Kitchen tables are too formal,” he said, glancing up at me. “Grab me a coke?”

I walked over to the fridge and pulled the door open, grabbing us each a can of it and walking over to him. I set his coke down in front of him and tossed the paper plates down, flopping down across from him.

“How was the gym?” I asked, leaning back against my palms and just staring at the food. I tended to take my cues from him. When he started giving himself food, so would I.

“Good. Lots of sweaty men in muscle shirts, I can’t complain,” he said grabbing a plate and beginning to spoon himself some sweet and sour chicken.

I laughed a little and leaned forward onto my knees, beginning to serve myself too. “I guess not,” I said, sorting through the beef and broccoli. “Well I had a ton of fun back here,” I rolled my eyes a little. Or I was bored out of my fucking mind. “I snooped through your shit for awhile.”

He suddenly looked really alarmed. He widened his eyes at me and paused his spooning. “You what?”

I looked over and nodded at his DVDs. “I looked through your DVD collection. You have some really bad movies in there. Kindergarten Cop? From Beginning to end? It was kind of scary.”

He looked over at his stacks of DVDs and then chuckled, going back to his food. “Kindergarten Cop is a damn fine movie,” he mumbled.

“Okay, justify From Beginning to end,” I said, raising an eyebrow at him.

He set his plate down and popped a piece of chicken into his mouth, chewing and getting that thoughtful expression. “It's romantic” he said, using the back of his hand to wipe orange sweet and sour off of his lip.

I laughed at that. Romantic? He raised an eyebrow at me.

"Since when is a film about two brothers falling in Love with each other not romantic anymore Taylor?"
Granted. It was romantic. But since when did he care about romance at all?

“Oh yeah… I’m sure that’s why you like it. You just think the actors are hot. You don’t give a shit about romance.”

He raised an annoyed eyebrow at me. “Excuse me?” he said after a moment.

“You heard me,” I smiled, picking up one of those weird Chinese noodle chip thingamagigees (I’m pretty sure that’s not the Chinese name for them but just go with me here) and threw it at his chest. “Since when do you give a shit about romance, Romeo? It’s been years since I’ve seen you do something romantic.”

He raised another eyebrow at me and parted his lips a little, just staring at me as if he was in disbelief. After a moment he laughed and looked down at his food, taking another bite. “That’s a laugh coming from you.”

“It’s true!” I exclaimed, tossing one of the thingamagigees in my mouth. “It’s true. You used to be a Casanova- you’d write little love letters and stare at the stars with me at night.” He used to be really sappy like that when we were younger- before the world had hardened him. He used to be proud of his skill of romance- he could always come up with the most ingenious romantic birthday gifts too. He’d do really dorky things like write little scavenger hunts for me for my birthday that would take me all around town and would lead to a romantic candlelit dinner. He could make anyone swoon, especially me.

“Excuse me, but what exactly would you consider flying out to England to see you? Inviting you travel around Europe with me for a few months? It’s not exactly a scene from Titanic, but I think it’s safe to say that a lot of people would be a little appreciative of all of that,” he said, his voice feisty but he didn’t seem angry exactly yet.

He had a point. That was romantic, but he used to be even more romantic that that.

“I call that… half-assed…. at best,” I smirked, raising an eyebrow- mostly just saying it to mess with him.

He laughed and shook his head, stabbing another piece of his sticky chicken and pausing before he placed it in his mouth. “Half-assed, at best, huh? I’d like to see you have even an ounce of the romanticism that I have….”

“I never claimed to be romantic,” I pointed out. He did. He still called himself a romantic even though I truly felt he hadn’t been in years.

I thought for almost a moment that he didn’t care- that he was too cool for romanticism now- he’d grown out of it. So I almost felt surprised when I looked across the table at him and saw that competitive glimmer in his eye. Zachary doesn’t like being told he’s not good enough- no matter what it is about.

Suddenly he stood up and walked towards the kitchen. I watched him dig around impatiently in a drawer and stood up myself to watch him.

“What are you doing….” I asked because knowing Zac he was going for a knife and ready to pull a Romeo and Juliet on me. He takes everything too far. It would be like him to think it was a good idea for us to kill ourselves for each other.

He pulled out two white candle sticks after a moment and went to another cupboard, pulling out two silver candle stick holders. Why he owned those I’m not really sure, but I suppose it can be justified with him being a gay, I mean, excuse me, bisexual man. He looked at the plates of food and nodded at them. “Grab those, lets go,” he said, walking towards the cabinet that I knew he kept all his liquor in. He pulled out a bottle of red wine, I’m not sure what kind, and headed towards the front door. “Your romantic dinner awaits.”

I groaned and walked after him, grabbing the plates despite my resistance. Taylor and Zac’s excellent adventure was not really necessary, I was lazy and just wanted to sit on the floor eating my Chinese food- I was starving despite breaking into Zachary’s chicken nugget stash earlier. “I know you’re romantic… this isn’t necessary,” I groaned.

He shook his head and walked down the hallway, heading to the emergency stairs at the end of the hallway. “Oh no. You questioned me? You asked for this,” he said.

I followed him up the stairs, which I’m pretty sure aren’t supposed to be used except for emergencies, hastening to keep up with him. I nearly dropped his sweet and sour chicken but managed to catch my balance before I did. “Zac,” I sighed, but I knew there was no reasoning with him now.

We went up 3 floors so we were on the 10th floor, the top floor of the apartment building, and then he pushed open the door that said ‘Roof Entrance’. Maybe we were going to kill ourselves for each other. Oh god, I wasn’t ready to die.

“We’re not jumping are we…” I asked kind of hesitantly which truly does seem like a stupid thing to ask unless you remember that I’m used to dealing with Zachary Hanson- the most irrational unpredictable man you’ll ever meet.

He laughed as we stepped out onto the windy roof. He walked over to the edge of the building and climbed up on the ledge, turning back to me. “I couldn’t do that to Mom,” he said, and I kind of think he was referencing Dad dying, which intrigued me, but I’m not really sure if he was or not. He held his hand out and motioned for me to come over to him.

I hesitantly walked over, really afraid. I was always really afraid of heights. I’m pretty sure he was too, but often times he likes to experience his fears head on- I think the adrenaline rush turns him on. I gave him his plate and climbed next to him, sitting on the edge with him and dangling my feet over the edge, looking down. Ten stories doesn’t really seem very high until you’re leaning over the edge and looking at the bottom. I felt my stomach sink as I realized how easy it would be to slip and fall.

Suddenly I felt him grab me and jerk me forward, and then laugh really loudly when I gasped. He grabbed me though so I wouldn’t fall, but I could hardly catch me brief. I had nearly fallen to my death.

“What the fuck is your problem!?” I yelled at him, turning and glaring. This was his fucking idea of romance!?

He laughed and leaned over, kissing my shoulder and letting go of me. “Don’t be so afraid, you’re fine, have a little faith,” he said, grabbing the candle sticks and the holders and sticking them inside and I had to admit I liked the way he gripped the sticks of wax in his fists- because I was a pervert and 19 years old- which is an awkward sex crazed combination.

He leaned over, gripping the cement with one hand and put one of the sticks of candles next to me and then the other next to him, so they were on the edges of us.
"Do you have a lighter?"
I nodded and dug carefully my pack of cigarettes out of my pocket, opened it with one hand and pulling my small bic lighter out, paranoid to let go of the cement we were sitting on.

“Light it,” he said.

“Hold onto me,” I replied,
he smiled and rolled his eyes, wrapping an arm around my waist as I leaned over and lit the candle stick on my right. I turned to him and handed the lighter to him once the flickering flame seemed to stay steady.

He lit his candle and then handed the lighter back to me, pulling his dinner back into his lap and raising an eyebrow at me- a smile playing at his lips. “Fuck you for saying I’m not romantic anymore,” he smiled, leaning over and tilting his head, kissing me for a moment.

I opened my eyes to watch him pull away and begin eating his chicken, swinging his legs a little and looking down. Well, I had to give him credit- it was romantic. Fucking scary, but romantic none the less.

“You’re a crazy bastard,” I whispered, smiling and hesitantly beginning to eat my dinner too, trying to get used to our view.

He smiled and opened his mouth to reply but a gust of wind brushed by us and blew both of the candles out. We both just stared at them for a moment and I felt afraid he would be sad the main element to his romantic little plan had failed. I was relieved when he laughed a little. “Fuck it, pretend they’re still lit,” he said quietly. “Fake it for me.”

“What else is new,” I smirked, about the faking it for him comment.

He smiled and punched my arm a little bit. “Shut the hell up, you’re a woman,” he laughed a little.

We ate a lot of our dinner in silence not because we were angry or awkward, but because it was comfortable. I asked him how his ‘cat’ tasted and he said I was rude and the Chinese stopped serving cat played off as chicken at least five years ago. He asked me what the fuck I was going to do about my education and future and I said I didn’t fucking know- sit around his apartment for the next forty years and mooch off our millions like he did. He didn’t get mad because I’m allowed to give Zac a hard time about things that other people can’t.

Eventually we ditched the Chinese food behind us and turned our attention to the bottle of wine. I saw it was almost full but he’d probably had a glass from it before. We took turns passing it back and forth and sipping from it, swinging our legs a little and watching airplanes fly overhead- out of the Tulsa International Airport. They passed every few minutes, the little red lights on the edges of the wings blinking as they disappeared into the black sky.

Zachary wrapped his arm around my shoulders and pulled me close, resting his face against my neck and kissing it slowly, more intimately than he probably would if he was sober. He sighed after a moment and rested his cheek against my shoulder, his eyes scanning the sky as the next airplane soared by.

“It’s amazing how much airplanes change lives,” he said, bringing his lips to my neck again and kissing it.

I laughed a little at that and tipped the bottle of wine to my lips. I was feeling good. It doesn’t take much to make me tipsy. The wine was disgusting and bitter but I wasn’t going to show that in front of him. “How do you figure?” Leave it to Zachary to find philosophy in airplanes.

“We flew to Los Angeles to work on some demos… and became celebrities over night. When you and I broke up... I flew out to LA again and we didn’t talk for months. I flew to Europe and got you back…. We flew back home to Dad dying all of a sudden. Airplane rides are crazy, everything changes in the amount of time it takes to put your seat tray up and turn your personal electronics off,” he mumbled, his voice a little tipsy and uncontrolled, but I liked it when he let himself go more and stopped trying so hard to be so tough.

I don't want to plug for it but the "From Beginning to end" movie is by the way a great suggestion for every Zaylor fan ;-) (just in case if you haven't seen it already)

I like this Zac a LOT better and yes, Europe and being spontaneous was romantic of him, but it would've been even more so if he wasn't always drunk, bringing up his long list of exes, or fighting with Taylor... This nicer side of both of them is making me have a bit more faith.. :-)

I've not been reading lately because life has been crazy for me. I just sat at work reading the past 4 chapters. I love this story. I love how Taylor jumps to conclusions and zac is the one that brings him back to reality . And I love that you used Danny Tanner to contrast zac's orderly house. Haha I always want to either smile or cry when I read a chapter update from you!

Thank you very much, it's great that you like the story as much as we do. It is not our own story, we chosed to promote it on our blog because we thought that it has deserved to be read by more people and it's what people want to read lately ♥

I just updated another chapter :)

I agree with what you said. Also,I wouldn't eat on thew ledge of a building either. I value my life. Sorry,i haven't been posting any replies to this story other than one chapter. I do agree that Zac needs to not drink all the time. Esp,to get drunk. He has a problem. And,Taylor questions everything. I have a tendency to do that.

Hey! :) Amazing you also read the story :) Don't worry about not regular commenting. Personally I would find a rooftop dinner very romantic but I guess it's a just a matter of taste. And about drinking I totally agree with you, there are other ways in life to loosen up or to feel good.
It's very interesting to read everyone's opinion, thank you very much! ♥

Hey!:) Yeah,I read it before I think. I refound it. Thanks for understanding about not regular commenting. On a ledge would be scary. But,just sitting on the rooftop itself would be fine. I can think of a lot of things to have fun that doesn't require drinking.
You're very welcome!

yeah we made a few changes in this version, because we love slutty dominant Zac so much. I'd say it depends on how high the rooftop would be but it does probably sound more romantic than it really is.
Unfortunately the author of the orginial plot didn't continue the story after the next Chapter, but we Team Zaylor girls agreed that it is unacceptable not to finish such an awesome story, that's why we decided to write 2-3 final chapters which you will hopefully like and feel satisfied with. :)

I guess it does depend on how high it is. I hate heights. Lol. It's all in the eye of the beholder.
That bothers me when people started a story and never finished it. I love finished stories. I'm sure I will be:)

That's right. :)
I hate it too when people don't finish a story. Thanks, we're very excited what you girls will think about our own
chapters which will be posted soon. :)

It is annoying. You get into the story and never know how it ends. One did that with a story I liked. I liked the characters. Even,if I didn't like the other singer in it. Haha, I'm sure we will like them:)

There is not money that would make me eat dinner sitting on the ledge of a 10 storey building.
Seriously Zac, is that your idea of a romantic date???

Awwww! I love this romantic Zac. I wish he would show up more often tho. I agree with Zac, Taylor can be such a woman sometimes and I love it as much as he does Lol! I also wish for the boys to have a romantic date with out getting drunk.

And you are right about "From Begining to End", it's a perfect movie for a Zaylor fan.

Please update soon :)

So sweet! They are totally the opposite of each other but they seem to fit so perfectly. I love how their POVs and opinions differ from each other. In a way, those differences make their relationship seemed more fitting and cute. I don't know, hehe. All I'm sure of is that, I'm def reading the next chapter after this... :D

From: [identity profile] teamzaylor.livejournal.com
that's right. That's why their relationship is so interesting. In real life they're also very different. I think the author found a great balance to write about romance without being too cheesy. I guess both of them have a problem to be considered as gay that's why they try to overact it which makes it even cuter ;)

Glad you're back to catch up reading! ♥♥♥
